Here at BMC we aim to improve and give you the best facilities possible to help develop your skills ready to find that career job.


Here at BMC you’ll benefit from everything from our stables housing up to 36 horses, veterinary treatment room, along with our weight bridge, examination stocks, science labs, thermo-graphical and biomechanical diagnostic equipment. Our 2 indoor schools (60mx30m & 30mx19m), an outdoor school (20mx40m), British eventing standard country course, including our water complex, all based at our Brooksby campus within it’s 850 acre estate.

Animal Care

The animal care department has a vast range of species for students to work with including; exotic, reptile, amphibians, nocturnal, rodents, dogs, cats, rabbits, goats. In addition we have specialist fully equipped veterinary practical rooms , a  state of the art grooming room (fully equipped with showers/baths as well as driers, clippers and general grooming resources), industry standard animal accommodation and a canine water treadmill. We also have bespoke science laboratories and a purpose built animal dissection laboratory which are available for students use for dissertation projects.   

Performing Arts

You’ll gain access to our fully equipped 340-seat theatre; this provides you with a real work based environment to learn in. You’ll perform regularly in the Theatre as well as going on tour around other venues; this gives you a range of performance experiences and audiences. We believe in learning through practice, which is why we have eight large practical studio spaces, a studio theatre and TV and film studio. We also have a dedicated practical studio, a non-teaching rehearsal space that you can independently use for their rehearsals.


A brand new sports centre has been built at the Brooksby Campus, which includes a full-sized floodlit 3G pitch, a multi-functional sport hall, a sport science lab, a strength and conditioning gym, and IT equipped teaching spaces.  The sport science lab is equipped with the latest technology, allowing students to learn about and take part in testing the performance of athletes.  The strength and conditioning gym contains five fully equipped Olympic weight lifting platforms, enabling students to improve their own strength and performance as well as learning the skills and techniques needed to train others.

Bakewell Hall

Recently refurbished, this centre has been made exclusively for our HE students, it houses an computer suite, which is open to you out of lecture time, classrooms for quiet study and a common room to help you relax out of lectures and to meet up with friends.

Brooksby Campus

With an established setting for our land management courses, our Brooksby campus will meet your needs to get the most out of your study here with us. Our 850 acre estate includes a mixed arable and livestock farm and several acres of gardens. Our Brooksby Campus is also home to the stunning Brooksby Hall, a 16th century manor house which operates as a wedding and events venue.
